AudioHog public beta

Beta terms & disclaimer

AudioHog is offered by Ryan Shechtman as a free public beta for personal conversation awareness. By using it, you agree to these basic terms.

Updated October 15, 2026

Use the beta with judgment

You may use the current beta features without an account or payment. Use microphone access only where you are permitted to do so. AudioHog is an awareness aid; its estimates are not reliable evidence of a particular person's participation, conduct or speaking time.

No accuracy or availability guarantee

The beta is provided as is and as available. Speech detection, noise rejection, timing, statistics and reminders can be inaccurate or interrupted. AudioHog does not identify speakers or transcribe words. Other voices and sounds can trigger it; quiet or masked speech can be missed. Browsers and operating systems control permissions, background capture, power saving and floating windows. Continuous background monitoring and overlays above other apps are not guaranteed. Do not rely on the app for safety-critical decisions.

Free features and voluntary support

All current beta features are free. The Ko-fi link is for voluntary support only, not an AudioHog subscription, Pro purchase or purchase of feature access. Supporting does not create a paid service agreement, priority-support promise or entitlement to future features. Payments, processor fees and any billing or refund requests are handled through Ko-fi, its payment providers and the creator under their applicable terms. AudioHog has no checkout or payment backend.

Local data and third-party services

You control data kept in your browser. Storage loss, private browsing, device changes or clearing site data can remove settings and summaries; there is no account backup or synchronization. The privacy policy explains local processing and the role of the static host and optional external links. Third-party services have their own terms.

Changes, responsibility and rights

Features, availability and these terms may change during beta. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided without warranties and Ryan Shechtman is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on beta estimates, interruptions or loss of locally stored data. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. AudioHog's name and application content remain the creator's; third-party components retain their respective licenses.
